Makeesha Byl Inspiration Challenge #1

Makeesha http://www.makeeshabyl.com.au/has posted an Inspiration Challenge this week, and this is it above.
I just so love that sparkly pillow, nothing like a bit of bed bling!

I really had to think on this one. The colours were pretty obvious, but then
it was well what stamps will I use, the Artfully Asian was calling again, but
I decided to have another play with the Spring Solitude set.

This is what I came up with!

The card I used was Whisper White, Creamy Caramel,
Tempting Turquoise.
My base card is Whisper White, then I cut a piece of Whisper
White and divided it into 3 with a ruler.
The 2 outside squares I stamped with the outline stamp using
my TT, Creamy Caramel and Not Quite Cocoa pens.
Then the center square, I sponged with Cool
Carribean, then stamped the bold flower on it with Tempting Turquoise. I then
mounted a strip of Creamy Caramel to the top which I had distressed and a
strip of Tempting Turquoise on the bottom. I then stitched around each
segment with my sewing machine and white cotton. The very base of the card
is Creamy Caramel card stamped with the crosshatch BG in CC.

Now for the ""Bling"", the top of the card is a piece of Tempting Turquoise card
which I stamped with clear versamark, I then covered it with Dazzling Diamonds
and clear embossing powder and embossed it dry. This turned out just how I
wanted it, as I had to have that sparkly pillow at the top.

Last but not least I stamped the bold flowers with the TT and then again with
NQC which I cut the center out and put in the middle of the flower and raised
the flowers up. In the center square I drew lines with my TT pen to look like
the lines in the quilt.

Wow! That was an epic explanation!!!!!

Photo's just don't do our cards justice, do they girls. Anyways here's a bit of a close up of the bling strip.

Thanks for looking and thanks again for the challenge Keesh!

Cheers,

Kristy xo
