Blog Candy..............

Just got an email from Debbie Minter in Mackay http://hubbysheadache.blogspot.com/
to say she had entered in my challenge, but lo and behold (whatever that means)
Debbie forgot to link it on my blog.

Here's Debbies entry: Isn't it great!
So after much consideration and as there
was only the 2 entries I'll add a couple of
more things and divide it between the
2.
Thanks for making the effort to enter
Natasha and Debbie.
I will get it off to you on next Tuesdays
mail plane.
Cheers,
Kristy xo

Blog Candy Winner

Congratulations to Natasha Murray, who was the one and only
participant in the challenge.

Wow, very dissapointing, I thought it would be a bit of fun, and
not that hard a challenge. It seems no one is interested all that
much in some free goodies anymore.

Natasha made these as a goodbye gift for
Mel Hanlon. You can visit Nataha's blog at the following address for all details.

Well done for having a go Natasha!
All your goodies will be sent off in next Tuesdays mail. Drop me an email with your address Natasha.

Cheers,

Kristy xo

One Year of Blogging. Yeah!

Wow, I can't believe I missed it. I have been blogging for a year on the 18th
of October.

I know sometimes I've been a bit slack, but I am trying harder!

I hope everyone has been enjoying my creations and photo's and stories of
our lives.

SO LET'S CELEBRATE!

Don't forget to celebrate my one year birthday and 5000 hits on my blog, I posted a blog challenge for the above candy. It was pretty straight forward all you had to do was make something that is not a card using SU products and post a message on that post which will link the photo of your creation on your blog. The challenge doesn't finish until Midnight the 11/11/08, so come on ladies, show me your creations! Might be a good excuse to make someone a christmas present.
Original Post dated 1/10/08.

Have fun and thanks for playing.

!!!!*The Blog Candy*!!!!

This is the worst photo. But you get the idea. There is new Stampin' Up ribbons, Stampin Up Stamps set (I can't think what it's called - I think all year cheer - sorry the stamp set is not here) but is new and unmounted. There is lot's of stickers and making memories embellishements, some colured card. All sorts of things. So go back down to where it tells you about the challenge for the blog candy.
Should be fun and it might give you the chance to make something a little different for someone for christmas, Oh yeah, I've extended the date it finishes so there is now NO EXCUSES!

5000 hits means Blog Candy!

Well I know I promised earlier down the track when I hit 5000 that a little Blog Candy was called for, and I thought since I haven't done any blog candy this year it may have to be
something worthwhile, so check back over the next couple of days and I'll put a photo up
of what it will be.
BUT! There has to be a challenge involved.

The Challenge.......
Make something that is ANYTHING BUT A CARD using all Stampin' Up products. Link your creation to this post. You have until Midnight 11.11.08.
I will get my husband and governess and children to pick the winner.
Most original will be a big plus.
Good Luck to all.

............................Woo Hoo, I've passed 5000 hits. I think it's time for a bit of candy*

Just to celebrate I think we need a challenge and a bit of
blog candy. Keep in touch over the next couple of days and
I'll see what I can come up with out of my box of goodies.
Or maybe we will make the prize a surprise! What do you think?

A lovely quite weekend.

Had John come home Friday night, I don't know what it is, whether we
were down with something or just buggered because it's been a long
year, but all we wanted to do all weekend was sleep. Poor old Jay set
a movie up for us to watch ( the 3rd Pirates of the Caribbean) and John
and I proceeded to sleep through the whole movie, I left the couch for the
bed and slept for over 3 hrs. John headed back this morning still feeling
buggered and I went for another 4 hrs sleep this arv. Must of needed it
as I never can sleep through the day anymore. Needless to say haven't
done any stamping. But I did take some photos yesterday morning of
some of what I've been up to lately. Have a photo of the blog candy that
I gave Mel and Jean, haven't heard whether Jean has received hers yet,
so not game to post it!
Talking of Blog Candy, my post hit over 1000 on Friday, which is unbelievable!
I watched it go over 300 hits in a matter of 2hrs thanks to all of the lovely
Splitcoast ladies having a look at my new uploads.
I think when it hits 1500 we'll have to have some new blog candy, so keep an
eye out.
Here is some of the goodie bags I gave the girls who came to my workshop on Wednesdaynight. They loved them! I wanted to show them that you are not limited to just cards with your stamps. Also made a thank you one with the scribble this set to thank Jess for being a hostess. But I think I need to tatoo take a photo to my forhead, as I keep forgetting to take photo's of things before I give them away!

Not a great close up shot but gives you the general idea. On the snowman one I used my Giga Marvey Scallop punch and then around the snowman I used the 2 largest SU circle punches. The wording I typed on the computer and each bag had a little poem on the back of each one. Quick, effective and I love them!

Winners of the blog candy.

That's right winners! Since Jean and Mel are the only ones to give it a go then I think both of them should win a bit of candy. Good on you guys for having a go. I'll drop Mel's around in the next couple of days and Jean if you want to email me your address I'll get your's off in the mail. Hope you enjoy.

Last night I went around to Karen Robinsons for a Xmas card night. Karen showed us how to make 3 different cards. I had such a great night meeting a group of very talented ladies and learning things I hadn't learnt before. Thanks again for the invite Karen, it will be sad to see you leave Katherine. Karen's site is well worth a look and I'll post her link off to the side for anyone who wants a look. I'll check with Karen to see if it's all right first, then upload the cards we made for everyone to have a look at. Thanks for a great night!

Blog Candy

Come on everyone only 3 more days to the blog candy draw.
Go down a few days for all the info.

Sunday, 28 October 2007

Come on girls, where are the cowboys?

I missed a couple of days, as we were in town most of Friday, and then
had John home Friday night and Saturday, so everything goes out of wack.

Where are the cowboys girls, mmmmmm can't you taste that blog candy?
Here is a couple to get the ball rolling, even though I can't win any :-(

These are a very basic Male Birthday cards for a couple of friends, I want

to find the time to have a bit more of a play with this stamp and try and

Jazz it up a bit.

This is one of my favourites. Card is made from corrugated card.

The stamp is a Lucy's stamp.

I have put string around the outside like rope.

I'll put a close-up of this card on later in the week.

So that's a start girls. I have 3 others in process.

I am heading out to Hodgson today as we have about 700 head

of heifers arriving late this arv and I have to read them off the

truck (NLIS). So won't be on again till probably Tuesday,

hopefully there will be a couple of cowby/western cards

to see from some other people.

Who wants a little Candy................!

Blog candy that is! I can't believe I had 300 hits in a week. Thanks guys I hope you are all enjoying it. This week I am going to make some western/cowboy themed cards, as I have a
few stamps that I need to get in and use a bit more. I challenge you ladies out there to make a cowboy/western themed card of your own. Load it onto your own blog, then place a comment in my blog, so everyone can go into your blog for a look! Names will be put in a hat and one will be picked out at random. Use any products you wish. This will finish Friday night the 2nd Nov and I will announce the winner in my blog sometime on Saturday the 3rd.
So here's your chance to get a card done that maybe you wouldn't normally do and a chance to win a bit of (mystery) blog candy........
Just have to finish my last dog one. LOL. sometime this century.
